I know Figma is saying “it gives you the most obvious solution” as an attempt to keep people from worrying about the Make Design feature, but what any of these AI tools have shown is that lots of people are fine with the the obvious solution if it means paying people less.

It's the first iteration, just a couple of years after LLMs were released to the public. 10 years ago, we wouldn't imagine that this level of automation would be possible. I expect the same cluelessness, and the same kind of leap 10 years from now; it's not going to be nice.
This is very true and already demonstrated with how broken the internet is already.. Worried that it's going to be worse before it gets better (ex: when people inevitably want better experiences because the most basic interactions are a headache)
