Who is using Sketch for UI design?

(I love❤️ Figma just can't justify the cost for personal projects.)

The strange thing is that it wasn't like that in previous years... so sad

Ugh, I hate to switch to "drafts" every time I create a new file because Figma keeps pushing me to create them on the automatically created team they put me in.

Probably a dark pattern as you can only create 3 projects there in the free plan though 😤

As a former interface designer at Sketch, I really love seeing guys enjoying the app 🥰

I use it for work, life and thinking. I guess that it the great app for designers.

Figma is free unless you want to “publish” files (aka organize them in project / workspaces). You shouldn’t need to pay a dime for personal use - just keep everything in the draft folder!

That seems to be the problem @tedgoas is running into too - wild because I feel like I run into the opposite issues where Figma defaults all my files to Draft, and I don’t realize until I try to use one of my component libraries 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sketch for life. Even though I am not ignoring Figma, Sketch is just a nicer tool to work with.

I _thought_ I was creating new files in drafts but apparently it defaulted to the few teams I created, so it prevented me. But I think I figured it out now, thanks for the tip!

I do. But the thing is all of my freelance work is on Figma only. They just know Figma for UI/design. I want them to know Sketch badly 😔
