Find something you really, deeply enjoy and you’ll crave it. I do pilates 6x week because I need it for all my healths. I don’t love traditional exercise, and I also dance + take walks daily. I’m not big on exercise buddies, i won’t rely on other’s motivations or whims.

I absolutely love pilates as well, but since I moved I don’t have a studio around me anymore. Do you have any suggestions for online classes? I tried Lottie Murphy on YouTube and Fluidform’s 14 day trial and loved both 😊

Yes! I just came back from class ✨ I do reformer in studio so I haven’t looked into online classes yet, good to know those ones!! Let me ask my teachers if they have other recommendations?? Maybe grab one of the classical mat pilates books and program some routines?

i do crossfit in the morning and i do it because the feeling that i get after the class, is like i'm in the clouds. so thats my motivation i guess ... just to be feel good for the rest of the day.

Give yourself room to do as little or as much as you feel on a given day

Yes, I believe going all-in and trying to do X amount of time every day in the beginning can work very counterproductive

Set small goals. You’ll find you often over exceed your expectations and get a dopamine hit. The progress will naturally compound.

Fuck motivation just discipline

Yes, but some people need motivation to become disciplined 🔄

I started bullet journaling this year and keeping a habit tracker has kept me honest with myself. I feel motivated to find the space in my day to do the habits I want to form by using this tracker.

But at the same time, committing to a set time each day for working out has helped a ton. I have to set up my day around this block, and I’ve learned from the routine what will keep me engaged with the rest of my day.

Try and make it something you look forward to, maybe find someone you like spending time with who’d join you? That way it’s less of a ‘chore’ and more social.

I am trying to stay active thanks to a personal coach that organize my workouts and fitness goals. I try to walk 1 hour a day to reach my 10.000 steps daily goal and 30/40 mins of daily workout in the morning.

Group fitness is the best way to build healthy habits. That’s why yoga, CrossFit and orange theory are so popular. I do CrossFit and love the community of friends that I make, no matter the gym I join.

schedule my work day around it. I go on my run at 4:30 like clockwork and I I know after I work out, I’m gonna shower eat and feel too tired to work more- so everything gets done before then.

Doing something you'd do outside of a typical "workout". For me that's climbing, I just literally love it so much and it's like a free workout when I go for fun, and when I go intentionally it's really easy to get out of bed to do it.
